Samurai Rabbit- The Usagi Chronicles

Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles is a computer-animated series. It debuted on Netflix on 28th, April 2022.

Announcement[]

In February 2018, it was announced that Usagi Yojimbo had been optioned by Gaumont for an animated series. It wasn't decided at the time what network would air it or what form the show would take, but only that something was in the works.

It was over two years later in July 2020 that Netflix announced the show would be coming to them and be called Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles. The show would not revolve around the Miyamoto Usagi that we all know from the comics, but instead, take place in the far future and star his descendent, Yuichi. No release date was given and fans waited until March of 2022 before Netflix released a trailer and date: April 28, 2022.

In interviews conducted in late April or early May, 2022,[1] Stan has noted that there are 10 more episodes that are nearly completed, so they should be coming soon. These episodes, which make up season 2, were released on September 1, 2022.

Plot[]

Yuichi Usagi, the descendent of the legendary warrior Miyamoto Usagi, accompanied by his trusty companion Spot, sets off for Neo Edo to slay Yokai and become the greatest samurai ever.
